This is a collaboration between SUBU — the brand behind one of the most original winter sandal concepts around — and Manastash, a Seattle label that has been working with hemp since 1994. The upper is made from an exclusive hemp-cotton ripstop blend developed specifically for this project, and hemp isn't just a branding choice here: it's naturally antibacterial, moisture-wicking, and blocks UV rays far more effectively than cotton. The four-layer insole makes the difference the moment you put them on.

Hemp-cotton ripstop upper (55% hemp / 45% cotton): the ripstop construction adds durability while keeping the natural texture of the fabric.
Natural antibacterial and odour-resistant properties inherent to the hemp fibre — no treatments needed.
Superior moisture absorption thanks to hemp's hollow fibre structure, which also gives the fabric its distinctive three-dimensional feel.
