El Ripstop es un tejido reforzado estructuralmente que es resistente a los desgarros gracias a su tejido en forma de rejilla de hilos finos y gruesos. Si se produce un desgarro en el material, éste se limitará a la circunferencia del cuadrado. Ligero, se suele utilizar para actividades al aire libre que requieren mucha tecnicidad.
